WARM LEMON WATER

Drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning is like a miracle for your body. It aids in digestion and helps eliminate waste from your system. According to naturopathic physician Jennifer Brett, you can lose up to 1lb of water on a dry winters night. Although that may look great on your scale the next morning, it also means fatigue, irritability, kidney stones, bad skin etc. Drink this every morning and try to give yourself an hour to fully benefit from the hydration before eating or drinking.
 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Litre (500 mL), filtered water

  • 1/2-1 fresh lemon


METHOD

  1. Warm the water on the stove in a pot or in a kettle

  2. Roll the lemon on the counter to soften before cutting. Squeeze half or more of the lemon into a large glass (I use a big mason jar) 

  3. Add warm water and enjoy!
